I bought these when they were a little over six dollars. Since opening and looking at them upon arrival today, they've gone up in price to nearly $10! For this price I would take something else. Good pens, but nothing special. I wouldn't pay more than five dollars for it. Although they write very fluently. A decent amount of sheen and there was no problem getting the ink to flow. It took a second at most for each pen to start writing. They are comfortable to hold and fun to write with. As you can see they aren't the best for black paper, although the silver pen is damn good for black paper. You can see that very well. So I'd save you almost ten bucks. If they retail for $5 or less, they're worth a try. Oh, and the packaging is pretty cute. I like how the clips are visible through the case. :-)
