I needed something (other than an ugly pile of junk) to make working with my laptop and tablet easier while playing guitar. It's only a temporary situation, so I wanted something with an "extremely low carbon footprint" — in other words, I didn't want to buy a $50 "desktop" riser made out of plastic and other junk materials that I'd hate to throw away. .. them for recycling when I'm done. . It's perfect - smooth, inexpensive, easy and when I'm done with it...straight to the planet!
