You don't stay.

Used exactly as intended on clean washed jeans. warm water with cold rinse, all four patches are peeled off, you can just peel them off. This isn't the first time we've used iron-on patches for blue jeans, those used in the past always stayed in place until it was time to toss the jeans. I thought the Singer brand would be good, not a real waste of time and money.

Pros

Once the fabric is fused, the fabric can be washed and dry cleaned.
