When I use a non-genuine refill cartridge, two situations can arise: The first is the correct one when the new cartridge starts a protective tactic in my printer where it tries to get me the feeling to give that it can be more difficult to recognize the cartridge (although I think this has improved recently); The second situation is that the replacement cartridge does not offer the same print quality as a well-known brand. Sometimes, to add a third point, the replacement doesn't last as long as the original, but I've never measured that or just noticed a big difference in passing. How did this particular HP 80A clone fare in my printer? Everything was good! It started, the printer didn't whine because it wasn't an OM brand, and I finished the second half of a long print job with no noticeable difference between the two. So you're really saving me money.
