This is the fifth Nixon I own. For the most part I like them. But there are a few things about "Ripley" that you should know beforehand. 1 - He has a Chinese job, not a Japanese job as advertised. 2 - Altimeter annoying. I haven't left the house, but the readings change randomly from 1730 feet to 1925 feet. Totally useless! 3 - The temperature is not accurate while wearing. The difference between the watch on your wrist and the outside temperature is 9 degrees. To get an accurate reading, the watch must be removed and left alone for 15 minutes. 4 - The backlight is very dim. If you think you're getting Indiglo-like lighting, forget it. 5 - The bracelet is strange. Usually the Nixon watches I buy come with an integrated molded silicone strap. The band on Ripley looks like an afterthought. A Ruckus strap would really make this a better watch. / I am not sure if I will return it for a refund. I hardly expected that from Nixon.
