Description of NIXON Ripley A1267 - Men's Adventure Watch (47mm Analog/Digital Face, 23mm PU/Rubber/Silicone Band) - Improved for SEO

Imported. Like a good overlander, the Ripley arrives equipped for life in the wild without sacrificing everyday usability. It's the best of both worlds, with digital time, temperature, and altitude readings behind the 3-hand analog movement. Activate "city mode" to hide the digital functions for a classier look. Like a luxurious off-road suv, the Ripley was designed to feel at home exploring the wilderness and the city. Reinforced with a shock-resistant module and stainless-steel top plate to protect against unexpected impacts. Equipped with digital altimeter and temperature readouts, dual chronograph, day/date, second timezone, and alarm. Digital features can be turned off for a sleeker look in City Mode. 3 hand analog movement with an enhanced digital module (°C/°F thermometer and m/ft altimeter).

Nixon - Ripley - 5 Star Rating

I would give this watch 5 stars. It is easy to read, has dual time, altimeter, temperature, chronograph and a very nice backlight. It feels very light in hand and is as advertised. Highly recommended! I would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Doubtful

New favorite watch!

I like this watch a lot! I own several Nixon watches as well as several other brands (AV-8, Invicta, Fossil, etc.) and this is one of my favorite watches. The hands and numbers are very clear and bright. The strap is rubber which I don't like but so far so good. Really easy to set up and use. Stylish yet durable

Pros
  • only positive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Sweaty in the first shower!

Very disappointing. A $200 watch should NOT fog up in the shower. But after my first shower it was full of condensation! This means it is not properly sealed. That's fine for a $30 watch, but not for a $200 watch. I really hate sending things back and I don't think I have the box anymore so I can only accept that this watch doesn't fit in the water but it doesn't work for my lifestyle.

Pros
  • Many do
Cons
  • May hurt

I've had this watch for a while now and use all of its functions. Altitude and temperature can vary significantly. I want the second time zone to be displayed in 12 or 24 hour mode regardless of local time. The alarm clock works well and sounds based on what time zone is shown, which is nice. The size is a bit chunky but still very stylish. Could be a few millimeters thinner. In general an excellent watch in terms of value for money.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Operating speed

Very Impressed - Women

I was a fan of Nixon watches but didn't use them for a minute. Ripley does not disappoint. Really fancy watch. Even my dog likes it. It's a big piece and you'd expect it to weigh a ton, but it's very light. I didn't read the altimeter reset instructions and I think the thermometer function depends on your body temperature. That being said, I can't stop looking at this watch. People stop me at the vet and Home Depot to ask me about it. Love it!

I love my first digital analog watch!

I was looking for a specific watch that is both digital and analog. Analogue with second hand and also digital for date and time. And I found exactly what I needed, simple, functional and not clunky. The digital display is crystal clear and just right enough to read, so you don't have to search for the right angle to read the time and date. It also gives you a 'city mode' option with an analogue display which makes it look more stylish and the backlighting is great! And for another function…

  • Finally bought

NOT EVERYTHING IS BIG the best in watches

This is the fifth Nixon I own. For the most part I like them. But there are a few things about "Ripley" that you should know beforehand. 1 - He has a Chinese job, not a Japanese job as advertised. 2 - Altimeter annoying. I haven't left the house, but the readings change randomly from 1730 feet to 1925 feet. Totally useless! 3 - The temperature is not accurate while wearing. The difference between the watch on your wrist and the outside temperature is 9 degrees. To get an accurate reading, the…

The reputation of the clock precedes it.

I am a watchmaker. All my watches have some characteristics that others do not have, even though they are recognized vintage pieces. Ripley has a good selection of toys to list, but only if you need them. Climb, Walk, Grab Do you really need an altimeter, a thermometer, a compass? Then this is an interesting choice. I no longer need this hardware on my watch. To get a decent shit temperature, you take your watch off and lay it on a flat surface and stare at it for about 15 minutes. I just don't
