Last June I bought the most expensive laptop of my life. Then I switched to an MX mouse and got rid of the old trackball. It changed my life a few percent for the better. This is a similar effect - another improvement of a few percent. Not just touch typing - which is probably about 25% faster and more accurate once some get used to the standard keyboard again - but yes - the new laptop has a fun key layout that takes some getting used to. In general, going back to the default keys is much better now. EXCEPT for a quirk - maybe two - function keys aren't used by default. You have to press the select button and it is on the right side to access it. And since this is a uni keyboard for mac and pc, you have sort of double labeling of the alt key and the windows key, the latter is also labeled opt but on the left side. I have the default backlight - it's not overwhelming. It seems positively organic if I anticipate when I'll need it. Recharging happened about every 10 days or more.
