The 250 watt equivalent 4100K lamp worked the first day it was installed on my outdoor motion sensor and was SUPER bright. The switch for this is usually off until I need extra light in the background. Two days after I installed them I turned on the switch and walked out again and they were barely on and very dark. In my picture the light in the background is from another of my security lights which has 2 standard 100 watt bulbs. I hope that by posting this review someone will read it and contact me with a solution. I was very impressed with how bright they were and wish they would work as advertised because $20 for a bulb isn't cheap. UPDATE: Bulbs are still good but do NOT work in my security light for some reason, possible compatibility issue. They worked great in a standard indoor lamp. UPDATE AGAIN: After some research I found out that it takes a certain amount of current to operate a motion sensor relay. I'm not an electrician but I found this on the internet. Thus, it is obvious that the use of LED bulbs does not imply this requirement. What I had to do was only use 1 LED spotlight and a halogen spotlight in one fixture for the LED bulb to work properly. Apparently this can vary by brand of security light, but for most motion sensor security lights these bulbs will NOT work. LATEST UPDATE: Still not working properly, finally threw in the towel and got my money back for a refund.
