It is not possible to install a Samsung 65 series LED on this scrap.

Although one of the questions asked specifically mentioned the Samsung 65 series and the answer was that it is compatible, IT IS NOT! The 65 series has a curved back and no combination of the supplied screws, washers and gaskets will allow for a successful installation. The spacers supplied by Samsung also do not work. Wrong design, incomprehensible instructions and the product does not work as advertised. Beware of questions that are answered with the intention of selling you this product rather than truthfully describing what it can and cannot do. EDIT: Just before I sent the mount back, I spoke to the Geek Squad Best Buy team at the store where I bought the LED. . It turns out that Samsung anticipated the curved back problem and supposedly built in a solution: some oversized long spacers holding two mounting brackets on the back of the TV. Apparently there was nothing like that, but it turned out that my neighbor had two extra. I still think this is all bullshit and I blame the seller for not making it clear and Samsung for not warning about the curved back issue and its "solution". I had to go to Ace Hardware to get longer metric screws. , but managed to put the TV on in the end. So if you have one of this model, UN65RU7100 and special washers and can buy longer metric bolts (M8 50mm, 1.25 increments) this might work. But given the lack of information from both the seller and Samsung I would give you a big disclaimer.
