Review on 💪 High-Performance MONTECH Century 850W 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply, Compact ATX Size, FDB Premium Fan, Full Japanese Capacitors and Components by Richard Orozco

I really wanted to like this power supply. The price was great for the certification and the product looked good. I bought this to upgrade my existing system to better match my goal of buying a 30 series GPU when it becomes available. My current build is about six months old and works fine. After installing the new PSU everything seems fine. Very quiet. I walked away for ten minutes and returned to the darkened monitor. I had to do a hard reset to restart the machine. I ran a few applications and everything looked fine. I launched the game and after a few minutes noticed that the video and audio were lagging. A few minutes later my computer froze again and required another reboot. I lost faith. I restarted and tried again, the game ran fine but still lagging and issues. After I finished the game I was talking to my friends on Discord when my car got locked again. I turned it off and reinstalled my old PSU. I restarted the game and since then there have been no lags, no freezes, no crashes. I'm sending it back to Montech today as I don't want to risk further damage to my computer. I might get a bad block, but I can't risk it. Hope others didn't have this problem.
