Read other reviews I was a little concerned that these shoes were too big. I usually wear 13 EEEE in Nike sneakers so I ordered 13 wide and they are about the width I was expecting. They are a bit long compared to what I'm used to. The 12-1/2 width could have been better, but that size was not offered. My heels move up and down a bit when I walk, so I'm afraid of blisters. Removable insoles are a plus for me as I use orthopedic insoles for heel spurs. I always hate ripping out bonded insoles in new shoes so these are great for that. Orthopedic insoles have actually improved the fit somewhat. I bought these as new airport shoes to make it easier to get through TSA security. Right out of the box I have to put my toe or shoehorn in my heel to put them on, although they are loose when on, but that often changes as I get used to the shoes. Too early to comment on quality or wear and tear but they seem well made for what they are. There is not much depreciation - in this respect they are more like moccasins, even with factory soles. The color (black slate) is more black and less brown than in the picture but I think I can still wear it with brown clothes.
