Great little pump. - Water pumps, parts and accessories

I live in a self-sufficient solar hut. I bought this with a 4 gallon pressure tank to provide my house with water from a reservoir that I fill with a submersible well pump. Now it's working great after some tweaking, but it's not the pump's fault. The pump runs without an accumulator, but it runs every time the pump is turned on. I bought a tank to fix this problem, but I set it up like a normal downhole system: 2psi under pressure. It should actually be the same as the pressure limit which is typically 30psi for this pump but it is adjustable and I installed a pressure gauge to measure the line pressure. The other problem I encountered was the filling. My pump is about two feet above the top of the tank and the end of the suction hose is about five feet below the pump. As soon as the pump shut off, it began to lose charge even after I checked and tightened all the connections. The pump really should have worked a lot harder. I put a check valve in the end of the suction line, almost like a foot valve, and it works great. Since then there have been no problems. If the pump was under the tank I don't think it would be a problem. Only one faucet runs at a time, but that's all we need. If that was a problem, Surflo makes more powerful five-chamber pumps. I definitely recommend it.
