odd threads on pump inlet and outlet

First, in the short time I've spent, the unit's pump is quiet and works well. Turning off the high pressure should come in handy. My three star rating is based on my experience of fitting 1/2" adapters to the end of a hose on a 1/2" pump inlet and outlet. It was almost impossible to thread brass fittings. It took way too long and it wasn't easy to avoid stripping the plastic inlets and outlets. I have many years of experience with compressed gas, vacuum and plumbing and am competent for these…

Unsafe product - disables GFCI outputs!

Update (pump #2): Decided to try again and ordered the same pump again. Good news, the 2nd pump doesn't disable the GFCI output, but otherwise works fine! First review: (pump #1) when I first hooked up a pimp. He installed my GFCI (Ground Fault Interruption) outlet right away, which means the pump has a dangerous electrical problem! I've tried different GFCI outlets around the house and they all worked. Other electric motors (power tools, vacuum cleaners, etc.) will work fine on the same RCD…

Pump Failure Best in Water Pumps Parts and Accessories

Very Disappointed. Bought this pump in September 2019. Install in a clean, dry place and pump clean water. I didn't run it very much and NEVER let it run dry but it just shut down one day. I did all the standard tests, checked the voltage and found that the pressure switch is not working properly, but the motor runs. Contacted support and got an immediate response. I was pleasantly surprised and hoped to take advantage of the 4 year warranty. I've been waiting for a response from their customer

Wrongly described and NOT for all jobs

I would give this little pump five stars if the description was clearer. Also the pump appeared at the door with water all over the pump when I took it out of the box and the plastic bag it was in. I didn't get it at all. My biggest disappointment with this product. There is no information anywhere that this pump has a duty cycle. I needed a pump to transfer water from outdoor water tanks to other tanks and water the garden. Nowhere in the sales description or user/owner manual does it state…

Great little pump. - Water pumps, parts and accessories

I live in a self-sufficient solar hut. I bought this with a 4 gallon pressure tank to provide my house with water from a reservoir that I fill with a submersible well pump. Now it's working great after some tweaking, but it's not the pump's fault. The pump runs without an accumulator, but it runs every time the pump is turned on. I bought a tank to fix this problem, but I set it up like a normal downhole system: 2psi under pressure. It should actually be the same as the pressure limit which is…

The threads are non-standard, not 1/2 " NPT (or NPSM)

are not 1/2" NPT as stated in the literature (they are .832" but do not taper). Also NPSM 1/2" (non-tapered) won't fit either, so it's too big and offset from the rim. The supplied sieve also doesn't want to sit, so to speak, but it does. metric fit (21mm) - or be prepared to "cut" new threads in the plastic by pressing something on it (not recommended). Plan to use a flexible hose and a barbed adapter. The included barbs fit well. The product loses two stars for misinformation, waste of time…

Use as a walk in shower pump

I'm not a plumber but consider myself pretty handy. This is the fourth and final pump I received from Revain during my camp shower build (NOT defective, just tried different options). Here's what I found out, hopefully it will help others to build outdoor camping showers. The plastic male pump fittings will not fit the brass fittings in the box. They most likely won't leak in plastic-on-plastic arrangements, but if you thread a metal female fitting onto plastic male pump fittings, they won't…
