Use as a walk in shower pump

I'm not a plumber but consider myself pretty handy. This is the fourth and final pump I received from Revain during my camp shower build (NOT defective, just tried different options). Here's what I found out, hopefully it will help others to build outdoor camping showers. The plastic male pump fittings will not fit the brass fittings in the box. They most likely won't leak in plastic-on-plastic arrangements, but if you thread a metal female fitting onto plastic male pump fittings, they won't fit and will leak, although both technically say 1/2 inch. I used 1/2" flexible hose and a couple of clamps to make it work and avoid connecting brass to plastic fittings. This is an on-demand pump. You plug it in and it senses if somewhere in your system requests water and starts pumping. Plan to make the system leak-proof as much as possible, otherwise this pump will continue to run intermittently. I built a prototype garden hose system that was full of leaks and this pump would cycle every 15 to 20 seconds for a second because she assumed I was asking for water (even though it was just leaks.) If your system isn't leaking, the pump stays off and silent until you open a valve somewhere in the system.3 I gritted my teeth together and bought a $70 PEX crimping tool which made the assembly of my shower system a lot easier. You need a crimping tool, some ferrule clamps and several sets of elbows, T -pieces, splicers and check valves. I was able to build my system with no leaks. If you do, please buy the 1/2" white PEX line, it can be used for hot/cold/all water, in other words the blue cold line, red hot line and white neutral line are identical and just different I don't think you need to buy a red pipe to run hot water, there's nothing special about the colored main pipes - they're all the same and the only reason they're colored is because of them to tell one from the other. silent and vibrating, which means you have to attach it very firmly to some sort of solid surface. You'll definitely hear it turning on and off, especially if it's bolted to a hollow surface like under a ladder. Find Find a way to bolt it to a cinder block or anvil to dampen the vibration 5. My system includes a shower and sink for washing hands (same line divided by a tee) and this P umpe does an excellent job of delivering 10-15 yards of powerful pressure through 1/2" PEX-Li tubing. elsewhere you can shower with serious pressure if needed. My wife is still crazy about how awesome it is to take a power shower in the middle of nowhere. Apparently gravity/solar showers are a big bummer for ladies who want to wash their hair, who would have thought. build what you need. Highly recommended.
