I have a few USB SSDs, one of them is a 3.2x2 USB enclosure with 2TB NVME inside. My phone can read my other 3.2 SSDs but not the custom one. I first bought an Anker hub which allowed me to use the drive about 2 or 3 times before my phone stopped recognizing the drive for some reason. I decided to try this one and it works great, it seems to be slower than it should be, but I also only use it on my S20 and I just like showing my USB drives on my phone and it allows me to be able to do this. I would like this cable to either be longer or preferably have a connector so I can use my own cable. I bought a USB 3.2 extension especially for this because the cable is so short.
