Epson Firmware updates corrupt after-market ink

The Epson ink is good quality, I'm not saying that. But it is well beyond normal pricing for this type of printer. Sorry guys, you're just way too high. More irritating than that, your firmware updates corrupt the after market ink brands. I've been through this three times now. I've had one, then two, then a fourth ink cartridge rejected after the firmware updates.I don't feel this is fair marketing, with no warnings about the firmware and subsequent ink failures. My advice to everyone, don't do any Epson printer firmware updates. Unless you're running all 100% Epson cartridges.Epson, get your pricing down on the consumables to a normal range and I doubt anyone will complain about using aftermarket inks, as they'll buy your product. It's pretty simple, there's just no need to crush the consumer at every turn. We'll buy your stuff. Try asking your normal neighbors.I bet they don't like the idea of paying 35% more for stuff either. I'll even bet you don't like being ripped off.Epson makes a good product, no complaints there, I don't have issues with that. But the same ink from aftermarket Sellers, print just as well. E-Z Ink cartridges give me just as good a prints. Get your pricing down and I'm sure everyone will buy your OEM cartridges, pretty straight forward seems like.
