Review on πŸ”Œ 10 Foot Cat 7 Ethernet Cable by Fred Massingill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality, same as previous cable from this seller/manufacturer.

When I initially purchased some of these (shorter) JewMod branded CAT-7 patch cords, I did so with some caution given the significantly lower price than competing products. However, they have met and exceeded my expectations so I have now purchased many of them. So when I needed a longer waterproof outdoor cable with an eternity feature, I figured it was worth trying again. They meet all expectations. These cables (including the "shorter" patch cords I use indoors for my LAN) are noticeably thicker than most CAT-7 competitors, but still extremely flexible. What surprises me the most for the price is that I haven't had any issues with the maximum (realistic) data rate or EMI. This is amazing because not only is my home set up as a data center, but I'm also a radio amateur, so I have radios in the same room as most of our LAN gear. However, I still get the full 1 Gigabit data rate between hardware. And this is important because I bought the 150ft "open" version to use during ARES/RACES sorties and drills. So I really need some CAT-7+ in terms of shielding to prevent or reduce RF interference. Overall very good, consistent cable quality at a lower price. I will continue to buy these for most of my needs.

  • Universal Compatibility
Cons
  • No Performance
