Digits are difficult to read. they blur. I'm not sure if it's the light itself or the clear plastic front panel. but you must be within 5 feet to read it. the numbers are too bright and cannot be dimmed, contrary to the product description on Amazon. I'm replacing a 30 year old Philips clock radio and comparing them side by side and the new unit is cheaply made in comparison, not that easy to read and the buttons feel cheap. For example, the snooze button doesn't rise, and when it's pressed there's no click or anything that feels solid or well-made. The radio picks up the station and then loses it. very sensitive to proximity to the radio. he even changes stations when I put my hand near him. Unfortunately my old radio got wet and isn't working properly so it needs to be replaced. but not this. i will send it back
