Bought as an upgrade to an aging LaCie PetiteKey that has been on my keychain for (literally) eight years. The sizes seemed small enough to be a good replacement, but even that didn't prepare me for the reality of its size. This thing is small, really small (especially for USB 3.1). It's very durable, unlike flimsy flash drives from other manufacturers (or even other SanDisk offerings). "Lux” is not an exaggeration. This is a premium flash drive in every way. It feels like a solid piece of metal. On the downside, this metal case gets hotter than its plastic counterparts, but it doesn't get hot enough to be a cause for concern. The rotating lid is rigid and durable, it won't snap or accidentally rotate in your pocket. Unlike the free rotation of other disc cases, this requires force, and when locked in place it emits a fairly reliable and audible click. It's strange talking about a flash drive, but even the experience is top-notch. It might not be the kind of drive you can safely run over in an SUV (it can survive, I just can't say for sure it will), but I have no doubt it will be safe on my key fob . If you are tired of single-use discs that get lost and are never with you when you need them, this disc is for you. If all you care about is looks or luxury, you won't be disappointed. Especially since it doesn't cost much more than flimsy drives of similar capacity, just spend a few bucks more and get it.
