Review on 🚗 Genuine Subaru Outback 2010-2014 Seat Back Cover - J501SAJ600 by David Pullen

I ordered this for my new 2014 Subaru Outback. First, this is not a very high quality product. The plastic is cheap and doesn't flex very well when you put the seats back into the recess below. It would have been much better if Subaru used a lightweight rubber material. Second, stupid instructions. They tell you to straighten it first and then poke a hole in the seatback carpet with an awl. Good idea, but if you flip it over (as you're told) to put the screws in the hole you made and then flip it over, the holes won't line up with the screws. Don't turn around at first. Simply lift the top of the cover and insert the screws into the back of the guard. There is Velcro on the back that needs to be pulled. Second, don't bother punching a hole. Simply press lightly on the screw as you turn it and it will poke through the backing material under pressure. That way you won't end up with multiple holes in the back if you can't line up the holes you made. That way the bolts are also closer to the seat back. Hope that helps.
