
I'm going to the doctor for a headache from lower trapezius muscle tension. Tension in the lower trapezium causes spasms in the upper trapezium and causes a headache. I told him that as I sat at my desk at work, it seemed to me that it was draining that lower trap, slowing down the work we were doing, reigniting it, that I needed support. He suggested kinesiotape, but I'm allergic to glue. I found a diagram online of how to wrap your sling with yoga straps (unintentional rhyme!). I found this posture brace that matched the same support pattern and showed it to him. PT Approved! So I should wear this when I'm doing activities that make you slouch and aggravate the tension, like working on your laptop or hunched over your desk. So today I wear it around the house and my headaches and upper trapezium tension are relieving. I need this floor trap to calm us down so we can get stronger in sports and my home program. PT says don't wear the brace longer than necessary because prolonged support weakens muscles. But for extra support when it's on display, this works great. The straps are strong yet stretchy and have extra underarm pads to keep them from chafing. The central section along the spine is made of durable plastic with foam inside for comfort. It comes with a strap extender if needed. The pink color is a plus because when I wear it under my clothes it doesn't show. Good product!
