DO NOT BUY THIS! good for mattress pads
We have moved to a new house and upgraded to a king bed in the master so our 6 year old stayed with our (good quality) king mattress. He has accidents sometimes, which is why we ordered this supposedly waterproof protector before letting him sleep in his new bed. He just woke up soaked through and there was a HUGE wet spot on the mattress. The protector did NOTHING to prevent urine leakage. Not only is this product a waste of money, but it is also responsible for permanent damage to a very expensive mattress. It's a shame to call it waterproof! =
