Caviar A budget for your dog

Snoopy is a picky eater, so I'm willing to spend a little more money on food he actually eats. And he LOVES it. He practically attacked the bag when I brought it home and when he put the product in sealed containers (note: this is not a resealable bag so you need to pack it in the containers to keep it fresh if you use one buy larger size). eat out of a bag.) It's also made in the USA, which is important to me since most pet food reviews refer to products made in China. However, not all ingredients are from the US (it says "US" and "international countries" but doesn't specify which countries). However, I don't know if that's a good VALUE. At the current price, this product costs $3.50 per pound, which is double the price of most brand name dog foods. Yes, "you get what you pay for," but I don't know if I'm sure I'm getting twice the bang for my buck. Sure, Snoopy loves it, but there are a few other dog foods he likes that aren't $80 a pack. And after feeding him for a month, his appearance, health, or general mood didn't change for better or worse. In general, I support less processing and fewer ingredients in general. But should I pay double for it if it has no scientifically proven medicinal value? If spending that kind of money on dog food doesn't hit your family budget (and at $80 a bag, that could be a lot for some households), then this is a great option for your furry little one. But I wouldn't feel guilty about buying it based on the misconception that it's a better option than cheaper but comparable brands.
