Review on ๐Ÿ“บ KORAMZI CB-107 TV Converter Box with USB Input for Recording and Media Player โ€“ HDTV Digital ATSC by Jared Coleman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice picture; weird end-to-end surround sound; Sound cuts out

I bought this converter to replace a (much more expensive) converter. This Koramzi has two features I wanted: a more sensitive tuner and 1080i video bandwidth with 5.1 channel surround sound. The high-resolution image is excellent; the tuner is almost as sensitive as the LG tuner in the old Zenith D/A converter. The only problem is that the box may forget to skip 5.1 surround sound and default to stereo, e.g. B. when I use it to stream a movie in stereo from a flash drive and then switch to broadcast TV. Reloading the converter fixes the situation. UPDATE: Another problem with the sound occurred, after using the converter for a few weeks. When switching channels, the sound is randomly interrupted by trills, as if the sound is cut off several times per second. A restart also solves this problem. I've tried contacting Coramzi a couple of times, partly because the instructions imply that the firmware can be updated. They didn't answer.
