I bought several 10 gallon tank 'kits' from my local PetSmart store that came with cartridge filters which I immediately hated. They stick to your back. They catch fish. They are not compatible with the water flow. They fall off the walls of the tank. I decided to switch to sponge filters and will never use anything else again! Wow! Doesn't matter. They're easy to install and I've even watched online videos on how to upgrade them with airstone inside. They are safer for fish. No more stuck behind a tank. And much safer for shrimp and roasts. This large one was for my new 36 gallon. I highly recommend.
