I am an avid hiker, have never used trekking poles. The upcoming drive through the steep, muddy terrain seemed to be a reason to buy. I love high quality gear, I hate paying for something redesigned for my needs. These poles are priced right and have the right features (foldable for travel, adjustable height for different people/needs, multiple mounts, cork grips). After several test hikes, a stick began to annoy with a creaking noise. A quick email to the company and the person replied. The replacement part was sent quickly. Problem solved. About the best customer service I have ever experienced. The sticks are great. Not the easiest, not the fastest to deploy, but a quality product with great features, backed by a caring company. I will recommend it to other people.
