These gel pens are just the perfect solution to what I was looking for. I needed a gel stick of the same quality as the Crayola Slick Stix but in a variety of colors with matching light and dark tones and this is the only one I have been able to find that sells in quantities greater than the max quantity of 12 are also thinner than normal gel pens, so you get a little more detail than with thick ones. There's also a peach that can be used as a peel if white is added, and I like that it comes in spinning barrels to avoid mess and breakage. The only downside is that many of the lighter colors produce some graininess when tinted, so you have to be careful when rubbing or blending them. Some colors are very similar - yellow, red and green have a color that is almost exactly the same as the other, but slightly lighter in tone. The pink is disappointing, the lighter one leaves a lot of streaks, and none of them have such a satisfying boldness. There are many shades of brown out there so I wish they would sacrifice brick red brown for a bright purple. They're not as slippery as the Slick Stix, but they work great on smooth paper and blend well, while the Slick Stix doesn't move when you try to blend it. You can judge for yourself from the attached photos; I think they are interesting for kids and adults and the overall quality is pretty good.
