I like these hair ties. I regularly stretch rubber bands (I have a lot of hair) so I've always been drawn to them because if they come loose you can just hit them with hot air from a hair dryer and they'll rebound. I definitely liked their colors and matte finish, but they have "sharp" edges compared to other ties of this type. The matte finish doesn't cover the entire surface of the plastic, so the inside edge is glossy. I don't care much about the finish compared to the fact that the seam between two finishes is NOT smooth. It's rough on my fingers and ultimately on my hair. This leaves little leeway for the tape to curl up with regular use without breaking the hair strands. I don't hate these scrunchies, but I'll probably save them for specific occasions and not use them for things like working out.
