I bought this to fit in my regular window air conditioner. The first day my friend said he could smell him but I didn't. I cut it off and only put half in because I knew it was for central air conditioning and didn't want it to overwhelm my house. The second day I was coughing uncontrollably even without the smell, my boyfriend noticed it when I went outside. didn't cough. I guess I'm allergic to something in it because after I took it out and ventilated the house my cough went away. The smell definitely doesn't last long and I think my allergies can happen to anyone. Just wanted to let others know
