Review on Enhance Your Viewing Experience with ViewSonic VX2035Wm 20 Inch Wide Monitor 1680X1050, Wide Screen by Justin Cullens

Having replaced a 4 year old 19 inch Sony Trinitron I was skeptical that the LCD would be as sharp and clear as my old Sony glass CRT. It's better, which surprised me a lot. Once I get the settings right, this monitor is striking in its sharpness and clarity. I always like to adjust the picture settings on monitors from the factory settings as I always think they are too bright and contrasty for my liking. This monitor comes with a VGA to DVI cable and I connect it to the DVI input on my Nvidia 6200 card and reduce the resolution to 1440x900 as the default 1680 resolution was all too small. Make sure your graphics card can accept these resolutions and it helps if you have a DVI input on your card as that will give you a digital signal too. Colors are pleasing, text is crisp, and DVDs and multimedia files play smoothly and clearly. I like the widescreen aspect of this monitor the most as it gives me a lot more space. The only downside of this monitor for me is that it requires a remote control to adjust the settings and the buttons on the monitor's panel are difficult to use and set up and tedious to set up. Also, I love it and will buy Viewsonic again, but please correct the setting situation and add a remote control!
