Review on Pashmina Winter Cashmere Wedding Splicing by Sandra Edwards

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent, large packaging; worn as a scarf or shawl, lightweight, warm and cosy, but actual fabric percentage is not specified.

This is a beautiful, very soft cape - it can be folded up and worn as a shawl, but is wide enough to easily be used as a shawl or snood. I ordered the spliced/camel version and the colors are a bit softer than on my computer monitor, which is good. The scarf consists of four rectangular panels: 1) soft brown, similar to hot chocolate, with small intertwined squares - each square reflects the light slightly differently, giving this panel depth and the appearance of two tones. this is very pretty 2] a slightly lighter brown herringbone pattern that looks striped but if you look closely you can see a more complex bi-directional pattern 3] the cat corner of panel 1, this is a repeat of panel two but in a lighter beige Color 4] Kitty corner from panel 2, this is a repeat of panel 1 only in a lighter beige that really makes the tiny squares stand out. There are hem edges on the sides to prevent tangling and there are lovely 4" tassels on the ends. The scarf looks beautiful on both sides and the way it's intricate shows different aspects of the design. The dimensions are as described, which makes it quite large and so comfortable to wear. It's also finely woven, resulting in a lightweight, thin material. The scarf has a nice drape and is very warm. The product description says it's a cashmere blend, which is a shame as there's nothing to back that up. Labels sewn in. So there's no way of knowing if the scarf contains cashmere at all, and if so, how much? Maybe less than 1% or a solid 30% - who knows? And what other materials are used? consider this practice to be very deceptive. Also the lack of tags or tags and the gift box makes it a bit problematic as a gift. This scarf was just a gift to myself. The current price of $15.90 is a great price for such an unusual, well designed scarf that is comfortable to wear. I would give this a higher rating and a good recommendation if it weren't for the lack of precise information on the composition of the fabric.
