I bought two of these for a very specific purpose. So if you're in the same boat, I'd highly recommend them. I have 2 Samsung 40 inch UHD TVs that I bought to use as monitors. They look great and are a lot cheaper than panels of the same size and quality that are sold specifically for the computer monitor. Windows 10 then decides to randomly swap all of my open windows onto the remaining monitors (which are real computer monitors and therefore too beep at idle). So...every time I went back to my computer the desktop was in And Windows is particularly random and brutal, sometimes I stack and resize most of my windows on a 1024x768 portrait display which I use mostly for Winamp only, switch inputs on TVs, turn them off, undress them, or take them to the car wash. No point recognizing her every time I come back and turn her on because she thinks they never left. So I give the Gofanco Prophecy 4K EDID emulator and feeder a full five stars for this particular purpose. They saved me a lot of hassle and a lot of money by buying some fancy custom monitors. (Nonetheless, QLED is actually pretty terrible, so you'd better buy a 'real' monitor, or of course an OLED TV. Just a note before you fall down the same rabbit hole as I did.) (There are also ways to use it in the Fix software with some graphics cards, some driver packages, some registry changes, 5 crows and 8 eyes of newt This hardware solution seems like a much easier and more reliable way to fix the problem, unless you have a Quadro graphics card that you probably have, no. Of course not.)
