Bought this for myself hoping it would be a breeze to use. I was wrong. After trying to get it working just by following the instructions, plug and play right? no If you don't have Synapse installed, you need to install it to use it. I haven't encountered this issue as most of my settings are already Razer. However, if you are a new user looking for a decent thing, this is a small thing NOT VERY CLEARLY MENTIONED. Otherwise, in any case, the connection is very simple, although there is no additional HDMI cable that is not included in the package to connect it to the monitor. Which creates another problem. In the past IT WILL NOT WORK ON ANY USB 3.0! REQUIRED 3.1! AND THIS IS AN IMPORTANT PURCHASE FACTOR. After installing it on a USB 3.0, I searched Reddit for answers and found that after hours of digging, 3.0 was not recognized as the correct power source. In fact, for some systems, 3.0 reads like a 2.0 USB port (seen when installing on another computer). The capture card was not recognized by any of the other programs I tried. When I finally got it to work, the programs I was using were giving me an almost blank black screen and no sound output to the specified source (also another issue reported by other users). TLDR: This capture card brings you a lot of unnecessary stress. Don't waste time. Especially if you plan to use it for PS4, StreamLabs, StreamElemets or OBS. I will definitely return it.
