Pretty impressive camera. Combined with the 22mm STM lens, indoor photography is a breeze. In relatively low light, I can shoot at 1/40 f/2.0 ISO1600 and don't have to do much image correction. Shooting at ISO1600 without hesitation is a blessing as the noise generated is only noticeable at full resolution. While 18-55mm can offer more versatility, you lose a lot of indoor shooting opportunities if you can't open the aperture anymore. I also want to commend the screen that comes with the camera. On my old Pentax Kx, the 320k screen made it difficult to see fine detail unless you transferred the photo files to a computer to preview. With the EOS M, it's pretty easy to see how good a photo is just by looking at the screen. The only area I have trouble with is the autofocus. Even with a firmware update, it's a bit sluggish, although it doesn't wander around the entire focus range. Expect long focus times unless continuous autofocus is disabled and single-point flexibility is selected. The lack of a built-in flash is noticeable, but that doesn't bother me as it usually washes out all the details. It is compatible with external flashes (like the EX90). So if you feel the need to add one, you can. The image quality is REALLY impressive though. JPEG processing is solid, RAW photos easily outperform my Kx, and every aperture feels extremely sharp (i.e. there is no definitive "best point", everything looks good no matter how open or closed the aperture is ). Original price, I would hesitate to buy it. But for $300 with a lens that's great for indoors and produces crisp images, it's an easy recommendation.
