I hardly listen to the radio, it's 2020 now - there are other options. I got these mainly for their length and ease of attaching a pannier with shorter antennas instead of the standard 3ft whips. I got them based on the appearance of the finish which would indicate the antennas are still working. , despite the fact that it is much shorter than stock. I've been driving the radio around to test them out and I haven't noticed any AM/FM degradation when using these vices. Excellent antennas, well made, easy to install, no problems. Much better than the shorty I put on my pickup that turned off AM/FM reception. They work very well.
