Keep looking for a better setup

The plate itself is absolutely amazing but the screws suck! They sent the wrong nuts for all the u-bolts and they all ripped off.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Protection

Good mount, bad hardware

The mount works great but plan on going to Lowe's to buy good quality U-bolts to mount it. I've read other reviews and told myself (the clamps that come with it can't be that bad) but trust me. They won't work!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Sparse instructions

They suck to say the least

I had to remove the curve a bit to fit it on the frame. that's what I expected. very well done. As for the included U-BOLT - come on man. They suck, to say the least! After all, it is a WINCH MOUNTING PLATE! 6mm, are you kidding?

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not sure

Fits well but needs better U-bolts

Fits my 1998 Honda Foreman 450 fairly well. I have a harbor winch and it's fairly easy to install. It remains to drill holes for the cable reel. However, you can invest in better quality U-bolts. Half the ones I used broke when I tightened them, so be aware.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Equipment Included Poor

I think the plate is fantastic even for the price. The holes don't exactly match my master, but they are very close. I had a problem with the equipment that came with it. I'd happily pay a few bucks more so I don't have to run to the hardware store trying to find better U-bolts. Their length was not even enough to hook a thread on the mother. They're also very thin, I think 1/8". I bought some larger screws and they worked great.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No instructions

Forget the included U-bolts

I ordered this to save time installing a winch on a second Honda Foreman quad as on the first I only had the plate that came with the winch was delivered, welded to the frame quite easily and it allowed me to mount the winch lower in the frame than where it is, which has advantages and disadvantages depending on the situation. While the plate is mostly fine (although the angle at which it's bent isn't accurate), the U-bolts are far too easy to fit, not to mention the main issue is that they're…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Will NOT fit my 2002 Honda Recon 250

I bought this to install a Harbor Freight winch on a Honda Recon 250. It's tight, but the foremost flanges don't line up with the bars. It's not even close. The U-frames were also too short, but only just. I had to take longer ones and then shorten them. Finally, it doesn't fit my winch. I can line one hole at a time, that's all. If you have a warning or mile marker these can level for you but you will need to find your own hardware to mount it on this plate. It's a solid piece of steel and the

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Has problems
