The liquid has time to flow to the top. Twist the bottom of the chopstick a few times until you see it at the top. Simply apply to the teeth like with a brush. It is best to use it immediately after brushing your teeth. I usually wipe my teeth with a tissue and then apply it. Do not eat or drink for a short time after use. There is a slight bitterness. But nothing too unbearable. This is to be expected from teeth whitening products. It takes me about a week to see a difference. I only use once a day. But it's bleaching.
