I sprinkled this on the roots of my tomatoes and peppers etc. while planting them. I put this in a salt shaker and shake it on the bare roots. It seems to work very well. This year was hot and dry and none of my plants died from lack of water. They would wilt, but not die. This seems to help protect the plants from some fungal root infections too. Some plants I didn't use it on ended up dying from fungal infections more easily, where the ones I used it on seemed to do a little better. This also seems to cut down on the amount of needed fertilizer. Don't use salt based fertilizers either as it will have an adverse effect on these microbes. I use compost tea and fish fertilizer instead with wonderful results.I'll be using this again next year. Great price and great results.
