Although I gave 5 stars for each of the questions asked (durability, material quality and sound quality), I could only give these headphones one star. That's why. I bought them specifically to have a long extension cord. The problem with the 12ft cable is spring winding. You won't get anywhere with them! I bought these to connect to my kitchen TV so I can hear the TV as I walk around the kitchen. There's usually another TV near the kitchen, so I realized that with headphones I can hear what I want to watch and block the sound from the other TV. This part works fine. Don't buy them thinking you could only walk 12 feet from where they connected! They will withdraw you! If you pull the coil hard, the headphones will fall out of your ears! The answer for me is obviously a long cable that isn't "spring loaded"! I couldn't find one anywhere. The wireless headset would not work on this particular TV or I would install it instead. WOW, who would have thought that a flimsy, spring-loaded extension could pull out your headphones if you try to push them too far. Back to the drawing board!
