so far so good. Tested with 3/4" and 1-3/8" Grex bare nails and all nails (100 total) sank below the wood surface. Only time will tell how durable and reliable it is. The problem I have is that it shoots nails unless the tip is pressed against a piece of wood. In my opinion it should have a pressure spike locking feature. yes there is a fuse. The item feels solid and for the price it is good. I'll update the post if there are any issues and check the 2 inch nails.
