The helmet looks great. The inner lining also looks good. It stretches my cheeks a bit but I've been told they will flatten out over time. I had to send it in under warranty as there is some damage inside and it's too tight at the top, but Bell's customer service is simply the best. They helped me solve the problem without even asking for an invoice for the purchase. Few companies are willing to take that extra step. Something remarkable. If Bell helmets have worked well for you before, note their claim that they redesigned the helmet to make it smaller and more perfect. The large size in the Bell qualifier fit me perfectly, and the large size of this helmet felt like my head was being pinched over my ears. I sent it in size XL. I'll let you know if it fits as well as my other helmet or if the plus size is too much of a slouch. I expect increasing the number of shell sizes will also play a role as the helmet can be more accurate in sizing than the qualifier. In any case, note that the inner width at the crown is slightly narrower than with other helmets. I would recommend doing a trial fit if possible, but if that's not possible choose a reseller with a fair return policy. [EDIT] Bell sent me a replacement helmet with minimal fuss. Size XL also fits. You can also purchase or call Bell Support for different sized cheek pads if the fit is still too tight or loose but the helmet cap fits one size larger. I can't say enough about what a great Bell customer service team they are. One of the best in the business.
