I love Saucony shoes. This is one of the few brands that fits my feet well. I have very wide feet with bumps on the toes but small wounds. I use orthotics so I really need space. I have worn this brand for many years. I need them wide. Wish Saucony have made a wider range of shoes for other sports, including true hiking shoes. These are my walking shoes and are also great for regular walks. Traction is pretty good on the trail and cushioning is adequate. My only complaint is that I got more dirt through my socks than usual. Perhaps the fabric is a little porous for trails with deeper or looser dirt. My feet were dirtier than usual after my first hike in them. I haven't had this problem with another pair of Saucony Excursion shoes, but I needed more width and they came in at about EE width. I have to buy New Balance shoes from EEEE to fit if you are looking for a comparison. I wish Saucony made shoes for more than just running/walking. Good walking shoes and sneakers are essential.
