This is Kensington. You can not say more. Sure, you can find a cheaper cable that works the same way somewhere, but it's a really good brand. They're so dominant that manufacturers who carve this little notch on the side of their devices refer to it as the Kensington notch. (Okay, it could be the license.) This cable is very long. I use mine on a desk that has a stand on the left and one on the right. I wrap the lock around a post and then loop through the loop a few times to make it smaller. This will keep it from expanding while still locked in place, allowing it to be removed from the bottom of the post that is welded to the T-shaped base. Despite the pattern, the lock at the end of the cable pivots and rotates around the lock's internal mechanism, so the cable doesn't stick out in a very awkward direction.
