I bought two of these because my friend has a smaller version and it seems to work well with light use. However, I need mine every night when I'm at home and these devices don't do the job. I accept drops from the tank when filling up and transporting to the base and even white limescale deposits for a reliable unit. Both devices failed, they both started making the same noises as stated in all other reviews on this site. One is completely out of service, the other is noisy and will be out of service soon. I've been going through a long list of humidifiers and vaporizers that I'll need after surgery and unfortunately I'm still looking. For people like me, the next round could be a medical supply store. Both of my devices are still under factory warranty, but I see from other reviews that Honeywell charges exorbitant shipping costs both ways even if it fails in three months or just under a year. This policy is considered by the company to be unreasonable, excessive, taxing and price-pushing, which is why I am personally putting Honeywell on my DO NOT BUY LIST. Unfortunately, like many other companies, they have long since lost focus on customer satisfaction. Another once-proud company lured its customers with cheap products and bogus guarantees.
