I was skeptical about buying a non-original charger for my Yaesu FT-3DR. However, after reading reviews of OEM charger failures, I decided to take a chance with this charger. I'm glad I did. It's well made and has worked flawlessly so far. The battery charged relatively quickly even though I left the radio in the docking station overnight. I have sometimes charged the radio while it was on with no problems. One more thing about the design. This charger is solidly built and has a metal base plate that other desktop chargers don't have, including my "high-end" Kenwood d74 charger. The charging LED indicator is bright and shows the exact status of the charging cycle. Also, this charger comes with an AC adapter which the OEM does not have. Worth its price and significantly cheaper than OEM.
