CD-41 Lithium Ion Fast Charger to charge my Yaesu FT-2DR. It arrived quickly, works great and costs less than a Yaesu product. It's great to support small businesses that compete with the big ones by selling quality products and providing good customer service. I will buy from this seller again.

I got my first charger on Tuesday, plugged it in, put the radio in the bracket and nothing. got the 2nd one today. The same thing. Rear, contacts fit, the radio tape recorder is carefully inserted into the bracket, but it does not light up and does not indicate that it is working. What a terrible waste of my time it was.

So my confidence was shaken when I pulled this out of the envelope. White cardboard, yellow tape on both axles, folded corner and "Made in China" sticker. I pulled it out, pulled the charger and AC adapter out of the plastic bags, and started charging my VX-8. Is working. The charger has a certain weight (quality? sustainability?). So, I'm a happy camper but it's been a tough start.

I don't want to spend $40 to test this model. I've been using it for two months, it works great, no complaints. The Yaesu CD-41 has an issue where touching the contact pins can cause the internal MOSFET to break due to static discharge. I believe that this model is built differently, so it is more stable.

This seems to work even with the radio plugged in, but I've found the charger creates a lot of radio interference. With AM reception of the nearest radio station with a frequency of 146.520 MHz, the noise level of the S1 pulses is noted. When the battery is charged, it creates a hash noise of about S5-S6. I was skeptical about buying a non-original charger for my Yaesu FT-3DR. However, after reading reviews of OEM charger failures, I decided to take a chance with this charger. I'm glad I did. It's well made and has worked flawlessly so far. The battery charged relatively quickly even though I left the radio in the docking station overnight.
