This seems to work even with the radio plugged in, but I've found the charger creates a lot of radio interference. With AM reception of the nearest radio station with a frequency of 146.520 MHz, the noise level of the S1 pulses is noted. When the battery is charged, it creates a hash noise of about S5-S6. This was heavily suppressed with the MIX 43 ferrite I had on hand and a few turns near the wall adapter (too many turns made things worse). It's still noticeable but doesn't register on the S-meter. At the time of these recordings, my antennas were within a 10 foot radius. A certain amount of noise is not unexpected, but appears suspicious in relation to the quality of the power adapter. However, it seems to be working.
