First, since I'm not exactly the handiest human tool in the hardware store, I look at a power tool, and my hands are starting to bleed. When I received the item and due to some negative reviews I did a full visual inspection of the entire trunk looking for imperfections ranging from slight chrome spots to using a magnifying glass on critical welds. No obvious defects were found. After reading the instructions and watching the recommended video on YouTube, I decided to install it myself (in one go). My wife had 911 ready to call. The whole process, slowly step by step; measuring, measuring, drilling, mounting and mounting the trunk lid back on the car took a total of 50 minutes. A man. Minimal swearing. 100% successful installation. Factory ideal (if I may say so myself).
