First off to the pros. It's an absolutely wider pad that sits more comfortably on my large head and certainly improves the FOV. In fact, I think this pad puts your eyes the perfect distance from the screens so there's no distortion in your field of view at all. The reason this isn't a five star product is because the pillow is one of those cheap velcro straps. made of very cheap foam with an unpleasant plastic coating. It's too thin and not comfortable. Almost unbearable for me as it immediately starts to trap sweat at the contact points and itch without really being shock absorbing. I would rather have hard plastic pressed against my face than this pillow. I think for forty bucks you could find a better alternative to a pillow. The reason I didn't give a star is because I fixed it myself and now comfortably use a pad. I carefully peeled the original pad off the Reverb G2 pad, sanded down the four pins on the back and glued it to the new one. While not perfect, it's very comfortable and works great.
