I thought the toilet would stay cleaner longer and maybe it did, but the gel didn't go away when the active agent went away. I've used them in the past and the gel always shrinks and eventually disappears, reminding me to apply a new one. This one just stayed the same, so after a few weeks I got suspicious and cleaned up. It was no longer a gel but more of a dry foam and it left a small ring on my toilet (which is odd since it's a clear gel). I decided to use up the rest of the tube but I have to remember to change it every two weeks even though it looks good (and even smells a little). I haven't had new rings since doing it this way, but I don't like knowing there will be another stain if I forget and I don't know how long it will last after applying.
